About the Role

In a world where digital and physical realms increasingly intertwine, the security of these interconnected systems is paramount to sustaining the infrastructures that society relies on. The Cybernetic Security team at Arcadia Research is pioneering the advanced security paradigms that will safeguard this emerging world. As a Research Scientist in Cybernetics, you will develop the protocols and architectures that ensure the trustworthiness and resilience of AI-enhanced, distributed systems. This role goes beyond traditional cybersecurity – it’s about protecting the integrity of the very systems that will drive human progress. Your work will contribute to a future where technology serves as a bridge to a more equitable world, ensuring that the benefits of advanced systems are shared securely and sustainably across all layers of society.

Responsibilities

  • Design and model security architectures for cybernetic systems that integrate AI, distributed networks, and physical processes.
  • Develop adaptive and resilient security mechanisms that protect complex, multi-agent systems in dynamic environments.
  • Conduct simulations and real-world testing of security models in both digital and physical domains.
  • Collaborate with engineers, economists, and governance experts to integrate secure, scalable processes across Arcadia’s platforms.
  • Publish research findings and contribute to Arcadia’s leadership in cybernetics and security innovation.

Expected Annual Salary: $150,000 - $300,000 USD

Logistics

Onsite policy: In general, we expect staff to be in one of our offices at least 60% of the time. However, some roles may require more time onsite, while some roles may allow for less.
